Use Atomatize from your AI assistant

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, OpenClaw or another assistant so it can turn sources into drafts for you, with the brands and permissions you choose.

Everything you do in the web app, an AI assistant can do for you once it's connected: turn an article, pasted text or a YouTube video into drafts, read and refine them, and (only if you allow it) publish or schedule them. You can then ask in plain language, for example "turn this week's blog post into drafts for my Acme brand and show me the LinkedIn ones".

Assistants connect through Atomatize's MCP server, the standard way AI assistants use outside tools. It works on every plan, including the free trial.

What you need

  • An Atomatize account. Sign up at atomatize.com if you don't have one.
  • An assistant that supports MCP connectors: Claude, ChatGPT, OpenClaw and most AI coding tools do.
  • The server address: https://atomatize.com/api/mcp

The quick way: let your assistant set itself up

Tell your assistant: "Read https://atomatize.com/agents.md and set up Atomatize for me." That page is written for AI assistants. It tells yours how to connect from where it runs, how to use Atomatize, and to check with you before anything is published.

An assistant that can change its own setup, such as Claude Code or OpenClaw, adds the connection itself, and you approve the sign-in in your browser. Chat assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT on the web can't add connectors themselves, so yours will walk you through the few clicks in its settings.

How connecting works

Most assistants connect by signing you in, so there's no key to copy:

  1. You add Atomatize to the assistant with the address above.
  2. The assistant opens Atomatize in your browser. You sign in, if you aren't already.
  3. Atomatize shows what the assistant is asking for. You pick the brands it can use and what it may do, then approve.

The assistant keeps the connection from then on. You can see every connected assistant, and change or remove its access, in Settings > API & agents.

For something that can't open a browser, such as a script or a scheduled job on a server, create an API key in the same settings page instead. A key is shown once, so store it somewhere safe. See Run Atomatize from a script or scheduled job.

Brands

Each connection covers the brands you tick when you approve it, and nothing else. An assistant connected to one client's brand can't see your other brands' sources, drafts, voices or accounts.

  • If a connection covers more than one brand, the assistant has to name the brand for each request. If you don't say which, Atomatize gives it the list, so it should ask you.
  • A brand you create later isn't added to existing connections. Add it in Settings > API & agents with Change brands.

Permissions

Permission Lets the assistant
Read See sources, drafts, voices, usage, connected accounts, scheduled posts and engagement
Write Generate drafts, rewrite, edit, star and delete them, pick a voice and log engagement
Publish Post to LinkedIn and X, now or on a schedule, publicly, as you

Read and write are on by default. Publish is off unless you tick it, because posts are public and go out under your name. Without it, the assistant can prepare everything and you publish from the web app after a look.

What it costs

Using Atomatize through an assistant counts exactly like the web app: each new source counts once toward your monthly limit, and rewriting a draft or asking for another version doesn't count again. Ask your assistant "how much of my Atomatize plan have I used?" and it can check.

What to expect

  • Drafts take a minute or two. The assistant starts the work and Atomatize answers straight away, then writes in the background. The assistant checks back, and the drafts appear in the web app too.
  • Your voice is used automatically. Drafts are written in the brand's default voice unless you name another one.
  • Some things are web-only. Uploading a PDF, setting up voices, connecting LinkedIn and X, and billing are done in the web app.

Good first requests

Once connected, try:

  • "List my Atomatize brands."
  • "Turn https://example.com/my-post into drafts in my Atomatize brand."
  • "Show me the LinkedIn drafts from my latest Atomatize source and star the best one."
  • "Write another version of the second X post, shorter."
